The Universe

This is my birthday present for my wonderful, sweetheart of a friend, !!!  

The quote is from chapter 33 of her lovely story, The Cat Duet and I could talk a lot about how much I love this story and how well it is written, but my hand hurts a little so I'll keep it short and only encourage you to give it a try- you'll fall in love with the story and how she writes the guys- not only Billie Joe and Gerard, but also Mike, Tré, Mikey and all the others!

I stuck with the title 'The Universe' because it seemed somehow fitting, despite the quote saying 'a entire galaxy', so~ ^^

Anyway- this was lots of fun to draw and I got to experiment with drawing space for the second time ever. Lots of layers and lots of colors are responsible for this result and I couldn't be happier about how it turned out! c:

I also feel like adding that I had only finished reading the "Killjoys" comic, Gerard's comic that was drawn by the awesome Becky Cloonan, and, looking at Billie's hair, I feel like her style inspired his hair a bit (Seriously, you should check out her drawings and comics, they're awesome I adored how... sorta fluffy The Girl's hair looked (That obviously only being one of many aspects of this comic that make it so great c; ))

Yola, I told you so already, but you're one hella amazing person and I'm as proud as I am happy to be able to call you one of my best friends! I wish you all the best things only possible, for this year and whatever the future might hold for you!
